I am interviewing Richard Dawkins

On September 14th (which is quite soon isn’t it) I’m going to be interviewing Richard Dawkins on stage at The Lowry in Salford about his ‘life in science’. It’s a promotional event for his forthcoming memoirs, which I am urgently reading as we speak…

I’ve interviewed quite a few well-known people for magazines and podcasts over the years, and like everyone who’s ever done anything in the media, I have met many more at parties and events. They are generally just people. Unusually hardworking people, but still very much human beings. So, maybe that’s why I don’t really feel any trepidation about meeting Dawkins, even after this exchange yesterday:

It probably helps that it comes in the middle of a September that’s suddenly become stuffed full of other exciting stuff for me, and I don’t have time to fret. I’ve just got to get on with everything. Also, I think it’s going to be fun and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Oh I also did an interview for the Observer ‘Tech Monthly’ supplement yesterday, which I suppose will appear in the next couple of weeks. My life extension booth/documentary project was selected as part of their Brighton Digital Festival coverage. I expect their edit to be extremely brief, so I’ll post the full piece on this blog after it’s out, as I’ve tried to outline a lot of my ideas around life extension, belief, and what I’m trying to do with How To Live Forever.
